Windows Vista: Start-up Kernel Missing Or Corrupt?

Ive had my Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4831 for almost 6 months when i ran in to my first problem which was that the screen started flashing black and go inverted every so often. then a few weeks ago i got home one night, the computer got slow and the screen went black for longer. the computer than blinked a problem about that monitor (i had a external monitor hooked up after the screen started blinking until i heard a poping sound and then the screen would turn completely black.) then after that happened a few times the computer turned off and restarted then came to the screen that said that windows failed to start. then there are two options to launch startup repair or start windows normally. i choose to start windows normally, because i don’t have the startup repair. then it says under instructions to fix the computer
File: \Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: windows failed to load because the kernel is missing, or corrupt.
Would installing Windows 7 fix all my problems?

    ur pc has been infected.
please hook ur harddisk to a stronger (better anti virus enabled) pc and backup ur valuable documents.
then format and reinstall windows and other apps.
hopefully ur toshiba came with a restore dvd which it made u create the first time u started it after purchasing.
