I’m mostly torn between the second and third, but the first one, but I’m no good at judging a graphic card, so I’d like some opinions first (:
I’m also trying to stay below $1,000 on this.
For school, it would really only be running Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and other similar programs. [web development major, graphic design minor; that was all they told me I'd be using, anyhow]
As far as gaming goes, it’d mostly be for Fallout 3 & *possibly* New Vegas when it comes out. Maybe the older Wolfenstein games, but those aren’t exactly high-end graphics.
If there’s any problems with the discrete graphic cards in those laptops, which ones should I be keeping an eye out for? o:

Of the 3, the Acer has the best GPU, but even that’ll run Fo3 and F:NV pretty crappy. Aim for a laptop with a MR HD 5650 or a GeForce GT 320M. Look through Newegg and you’ll find one within your budget, though not sure about size and weight.
Edit:
Some links to look through

If you are into gaming, go for the third one. That acer laptop has the best graphics card among the three.
You should get a small dell laptop and buy all of the programs
You should get a hp laptop and buy all of the program
