Anyone who knows they don’t need religion to get through life. Anyone who helps his fellow man because it’s the right thing to do instead of expecting a reward for it after they pass away. Anyone who can think for him (or her) self and who asks questions and doesn’t accept “God said so” as a valid answer for everything.
I do not live in the Bible belt yet seldom if ever,encounter vocal Atheists off-line…My sole perception of Atheists,is based on those who participate on forums such as R & S and what I have observed through both video and audio & printed media….
Gut level honest. Many I view as angry,arrogant and mean-spirited…This observation is not all-inclusive however,as a few,seem to be happy,intelligent,family oriented and hold to a strong moral code…
Scientist, if you’ll pardon the generalisation.
As for myself, I am an atheist who is not a scientist, but for a layman I am quite well-read. I have even tutored children in biology and physics.
Blind,lost,darkness,unrepentant,often ignorant,self serving,shallow,superficial,self indulgent,spiritually deficient,and usually very young!
