My mom’s birthday is coming up soon on the August 29th & I want to do something special, I really dont know how to cook at all everytime I try to make something I end up overheating it & things mess up. I want to do something special for her the whole day & show my love for all the parenting she has done considering the fact that she is a single mom & has provided me everything I need all my life, I just want my mom to be happy & that is all. Please help me guys! I thought I’ll make her a nice birthday card. (which I will be doing ofcourse & a nice MS Powerpoint presentation also, yeah the powerpoint presentation may sound stupid but I want to do it but also I want to make something even more special. You know make her feel I am there for her & never will leave her alone)

well, you could definetly compose a poem for her
also be on your best behavior, maybe clean the house from top to bottom and say proudly, “just for you!!” Tell her that she is the best, your role model, and tell her that she has been such a great mom (like you said urself) and has provided everything you’ve needed. look her in the eyes when you say that, and mean it!! maybe toss a bit of humor in, and tell her that you learnt how to say happy birthday in 10 dif languages, and say them to her.

When I was young, I forgot about my mum’s birthday, so my sister helped me make these pretty ‘voucher’ things, that made her entitled to ‘one free massage’ or ‘one day of not having to do dishes’, and other things. Pick her a bunch of flowers to go with your card, as well.
You could always give her coupons for you to do chores around the house (i.e. take out the garbage, wash the dishes, do the laundry, etc.). I’ve done that for my mother and she really appreciated it. The powerpoint sounds like a really good idea. You should include pictures on it by scanning them on the computer. Always remember that your mother will love you no matter what, and when it comes to gifts, it really is the thought that counts.

I came across a website called givesongs and they have a wonderful happy birthday Mom or Mother song in 2 styles. The Caribbean style one is fun and the RnB version is cool. The songs are not corny or anything like the normal kids birthday songs so are very suitable for adults. They are They are $1.99 and about a minute long. Now that I have a better cellphone, I actually buy the songs and put them onto my phone and send them as text message (MultiMedia message) attachments and send them out on the day of the big birthday. Tears of touching joy followed. Best of luck.
