Help from someone with experience?? What does it take to get into one of these? and are they really being shutdown and taken over by RSTA units? good, bad? which is more elite/is RSTA more “elite” than a conventional unit in terms of missions/capabilities? do they work with spec ops?

I was in 82nd LRSD. As far as them being shut down, I don’t know. I would highly doubt it though. I’m not even aware of what a RSTA stands for. As far as what it takes, well I’m sure that depends on the individual unit. For ours there was a selection process. The COC would “recruit” soldiers. The physical demands are extreme. Also our police was that while the soldier didn’t have to be a Ranger, they did at some point have to go to, and pass Ranger school.
