When i open any .ppt files it always opens with Adobe. It seems the default opener is with adobe. I can browse to choose PowerPoint, but i cant find it. I found the location and It says it is saved in C:/windows/installer….But i cannot find the installer file. I enabled show hidden files but the “installer” file is know where to be found.



Right click the .ppt files then choose properties the choose open with then browse then go to C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12 and select the file POWERPNT then ok. Hope it helps
Sounds like you only have power point as an install file. It hasn’t been instaled, I’d say. You should try reinstalling Microsoft office. adobe will only be the default opener if you have changed it to be set like that, or if you don’t have ppt installed.
why don’t you go to start>>> all programs>>microsoft office it should be under the list of office applications ie if the version of your office suit has it…… if its not there then the problem is with the version of you office suit….
