You have to do a down upgrade its not like simple upgrade.

XP Home was the base OS and if I remember correctly
it then went Pro then Ultimate after that.
Absolutely no point as there was very little difference
between them except a few more buttons to push!

I’m not sure if going from pro to home edition is considered an upgrade, but if you are asking if it’s possible to install one program over the other I’m sure that it is.
