I have a netbook and found out that I needed to upgrade the RAM to 1GB in order to change over to Windows 7. I bought 1GB RAM and installed in on the netbook and when I ran Windows Upgrade again, it said I only had 896MB of RAM available. Can I still put Windows 7 on it, or do I need to purchase 2GB RAM instead?

Yes you can. Without a doubt, but FOR SURE it will be much smoother with 2GB RAM. Ram is extremely cheap & affordable so you might as well upgrade, but for now just install it with 1 GB RAM, I hoped I answered your problem !
Yes, but you might also be interested in looking into upgrading to a GNU/Linux Operating System. Not only do they have a better security then Microsoft Windows, they’re free too. http://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.… GNU/Linux is everywhere. Android is actually a fork of linux. Most web servers run GNU/Linux instead of windows server edition because windows is naturally riddled with problems. gnu/linux is also quite popular and really powerful on desktops/laptops/netbooks.
I’m using GNU/Linux on my desktop to post this.
Yes you can buy a windows 7 CD in best buy and install it it works with 1 gm of ram
Get 2gb ram instead to be on the safe side
yes you can but i would not because it would be very slow
