C# and Java are very similar high level languages. You do not need to know C++ to learn them but it doesnt hurt to learn C since C# and Java are C-like languages with similar syntax.
As for ASP, you do not need to know ASP to do ASP.Net. I would also say I would just learn ASP.net since there are a few things that are .NET specific.
If your heading to Java and/or .NET as your ultimate goal, you must learn HTML. I’m in the middle of a HTML course right now, and its facinating to see what I did not know about HTML, but when it gets time to learn the in’s and out’s of where and how to insert the .NET coding and Java script, I’ll be miles ahead of the game. C# is the most popular language attached to the .Net framework. I hate C of any type, but thankfully, the framework can be used with VB, and ASP currently and hopefully in the near future with Pascal which is my language. I originally started with HTML for Dummies, then moved on to a formal course.
