Can’t understand why CRTL+ALT+DELETE doesn’t take you to the screen that gives you the option to start Task Manager. I have Win 7 and it works for me…. should work unless you have disabled your Welcome screen.
    However,
CRTL+SHIF ESC should launch task manager
    -or -
Enter (run) “Taskmgr.exe” from a command line prompt. Go to Run in the start menu and type in “taskmgr.exe” in dialog box, hit OK.
    -or-
Go to Start menu and simply type “task manager” into the search box at the bottom left of the Start Menu dialog box. Before you finish typing Windows should already be showing the option to “View running processes with task manager” in the top of the Start Menu (left side).
    - or -
you can go to Control Panel > Performance Information and Tools… then from the option list on the top left side choose “Advanced Tools”. Task Manager should be about midway down the page.
