i have installed Battlefield 2, and the patches. when i open battlefield, it opens up to the black screen at the intro thing, hten closes and im back on my desktop. too see what happened i had the task manager open while i opened battlefield and the BF2.exe process does open then it just ends. My computer is up to specs. i have 1GB RAM, 3.2 processor, 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 900 IGP graphics card and plenty of harddrive space. Although another program i use says my grapics card need an update to work at best, there are no updates for it. what do i do?

Try the system requirements checker on the BF2 web page; http://www.ea.com/games/battlefield-2-co…
If it says you can run it then check your screen is running at 60Hz, BF2 will also run at 65 70 etc but not 59, 61 or odd numbers, without some tweaking.
As for drivers, if they are not on ati.com try the manufacturers site of the laptop.
Also delete the Battlefield 2 folder in (My) Documents until it works, as this is where the settings are stored and anything you change may conflict with it.
